The Conversations: Amber Benson Part 2

If you missed the first part of our interview it’s here

Karleigh: Do you believe in soulmates?

Amber: I believe there are multiple people out there that you could have a lovely life with!

Karleigh: Do you have a bucket list? If so, what have you ticked off and what’s left to achieve?

Amber: I just want to travel more. See as much of this world as I can before I die.

Karleigh: What do you believe happens after you die?

Amber: I think energy just goes back to energy.

Karleigh: Have you a preference for how you want to be buried/cremated/ celebrated and remembered after you cross over?

Amber: Cremated or put in some kind of eco-friendly mushroom suit. No need for celebration…I mean, my ‘self’ will have ceased to exist, so I won’t even know I’m dead.

Karleigh: If you could have everyone read one book, watch one film and listen to one song, which ones would you recommend.

Amber:
Movie: Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind – Hiyao Miyazaki
Book: Journey to the East – Hermann Hesse
Song: Te Deum – Arvo Pärt

Karleigh: What are the top five things you would grab in a fire from your home?

Amber: My computer, my passport, some family photos – that’s the most important stuff

Karleigh: If you could change one thing about humanity, what would you wish for?

Amber: I would wish for people to have more empathy and to be kinder to each other.

Karleigh: How do you cope with stressful times? What helps you through?

Amber: Biting my nails and baking bread

Karleigh: Which charity is closest to your heart?

Amber: LA Regional Food Bank

Karleigh: When do you feel the most beautiful?

Amber: When I’m asleep.

Karleigh: How are you feeling about ageing? What’s it like being in the industry as a woman?

Amber: I don’t mind getting older. The lines on my face are hard-earned and I wouldn’t give up my laugh lines for anything in the world. Since I’m not really acting anymore, I’m not really worried about aging.

Karleigh: When it comes to eating, do you have any preferences, ethics or allergies?

Amber: Hate cilantro. It tastes like soap to me.

Karleigh: What is your favourite dish and where/how do you like to eat it?

Amber: I love making and eating Tassajara Yeasted Bread. It’s a long, involved recipe, but damn the bread is delicious! It’s a very zen process and highly recommended.

Karleigh: I look forward to making this! Thanks so much for your time and energy, Amber. I’ve loved picking your clever brains ❤
